Miami-Dade County Public Schools will no longer offer free breakfast and lunch to every student districtwide starting this school year. After four years of universal free meals funded through a federal program (Community Eligibility Provision), updated federal eligibility data means only 121 M-DCPS schools still qualify for the free program. Families at schools that don't qualify will need to apply for free or reduced-price meals. For students who don't qualify, breakfast costs $2.50 and lunch $4.20 (reduced price: 30 cents and 40 cents).
