$280 Million Sports Performance Hub Moves Forward

A $280 million Sports Performance Hub featuring a 10,000-seat stadium, hotel, training facilities, and community recreation space continues moving forward in Homestead. The project is expected to create thousands of construction jobs and hundreds of permanent jobs.
Flanigan's Coming to Homestead

Flanigan's is officially moving forward with plans for a new Homestead location at the former City Hall site. The proposed restaurant will be approximately 8,500 square feet and become one of the chain's newest South Florida locations.
Tractor Supply Coming to Redland

Tractor Supply Co. is officially building its first Miami-Dade County location in Redland, located at 24625 N. Krome Ave (just west of Homestead). The 21,930-square-foot store is expected to open in summer 2026, bringing the chain's rural lifestyle supplies and about 15 jobs to the area.

Offerings: Stocked with farm equipment, fencing, livestock feed, pet food, and gardening tools. It will also feature a PetWash Center and a PetVet Clinic similar to other regional locations.
Mario's Restaurant Nearing Completion

Mario's Family Restaurant (now known as Mario's Cuban Kitchen + Bar) is open at its new modern location on Homestead Boulevard! The brand-new building is fully complete and welcomes guests to enjoy authentic Cuban and Latin American cuisine with a fresh vibe.

Redland Agritourism Continues Growing

The Redland agritourism district continues attracting visitors with restaurants, wineries, farm experiences, and outdoor attractions, while residents debate how to balance growth with preserving the area's rural character.
EV Charging Stations Coming

Electric vehicle drivers will soon have more charging options in Homestead. New public EV charging stations are currently under construction at Walmart and Crunch Fitness, expanding the city's growing electric vehicle infrastructure and making it easier for residents and visitors to charge while shopping or working out. These additions are part of ongoing efforts to support the increasing number of EVs on South Florida roads.
